Junior First Aiders

Junior First Aiders is our own suite of First Aid training for children in Key Stage 2. The sessions are practical and informative and cover a range of topics.

COURSE OPTIONS

Think First can deliver the training in schools as a half day or full day of training for up to 35 pupils. All attending will receive the Junior First Aiders workbook as well as a CPR face shield. Our instructor will come and deliver the training but it may be helpful to have some of your school’s First Aiders handy to supervise the children and to offer advice and guidance as the children move through the activities. The course is attendance based only and at the end of the day all children will receive a certificate of attendance.

Alternatively you could run the training in house yourself, we only ask that your lead trainer holds at least a current 3 day First Aid at Work qualification, or a current 2 day Paediatric First Aid qualification. This is to make sure that the children receive correct, safe and current instruction in First Aid techniques. We will still provide workbooks, certificates and our powerpoint presentations for you to run the training. You will however need to provide your own manikins, choking vests and first aid supplies.

The training is normally run as a carousel of activities that includes the topics listed below. Alternatively we may be able to suggest other formats for the training if you require.
